4NC have made some fantastic storyboards for a Llandudno tourist commercial. Mrs Compson is so pleased with them that she is going to send them to the Tourist Information Centre in Llandudno. Hopefully, we will hear what they think.
in Llandudno.
Welcome to the Year Four website. On this website, we will be sharing examples of our children's work. This page is a workshop containing examples of learning in action. The work will not be the children's 'final draft’.

Rock UK
During 25-27th April, 106 children from
Year 4 had a fantastic time on their residential at ROCK UK. The
children had a chance to take part in a range of exciting activities
such as rock climbing, archery, canoeing, high ropes, a camp fire and
much more. It was lovely to see the children shine outside of the
classroom. Furthermore, the courage and bravery from the children was
amazing. After the trip, children in 4MR wanted to write to ROCK UK to
tell them about the fantastic time they had there. These thank you
letters have been sent to ROCK UK and we are awaiting a response… (the
children are very excited to hear back!)

Year Four Roman Museum
We were really pleased to welcome all of our parents to the Year Four Roman Museum on 18th March. After a lot of research and
detailed work, we recreated Roman artefacts to show aspects of life in
Roman Britain.

After looking at the mosaics in the museum at Verulamium, Year Four created some of their own using small tesserae just as the Romans did.

Roman oil lamps
Everyone in 4AW made an oil lamp this afternoon after creating their own design based on historical research. They are now drying and will be fired in the school kiln. We are really looking forward to welcoming parents to our oil lamp workshops next week.

The Lion King
On Wednesday 27th January
2016, the Year 4 children watched the stunning Lion King show at the
Lyceum Theatre in London. It was a fantastic day and the children
thoroughly enjoyed the show. The following day, the children in 4MR
wrote a diary entry of their day. The children loved writing their diary
entries and it was clear to see the children will remember the show for
a very long time.

Roman invasion Friday 8th January
Year Four had an amazing day on Friday learning all about the Roman invasion of AD43. The children, all dressed as Roman citizens, welcomed a visitor who told us about life in Britain as the Romans arrived, as well as what it was like to be a soldier in the Roman army. We marched to latin instructions, dressed in Roman armour and helmets and experienced what it may have been like to be at a Roman slave auction. Thank you to all of our parents for their support with costumes for the children. There will be another opportunity to wear the costumes when we open our Roman Museum later this term.
