Paxton Pits

Over the past few weeks, children in Year Four have been visiting Paxton Pits to support their habitats work in science.

The children travelled through time to experience how the site had changed since 160million years ago! They also got a sneak preview into the future too!

Each child was able to dig for fossils, search under logs for mini beasts, pond dip to see what lives in the water, sweep for insects in the long meadow grass and bird watch over the lake.

The children were so inspired by the day that they were very eager to take up the 30 days of being wild challenge at home! One boy even enquired about a future career in entomology!
