BBC Ten Pieces

On Tuesday 7thOctober, Year Four walked to the St Neots Cineworld to
watch the BBC Ten Pieces film. Ten Pieces was made with the aim of
opening up the world of classical music to children, and inspiring them to
develop their own creative responses to the pieces through music, dance or digital art in school. The repertoire included a range of music from baroque to contemporary. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and some had the opportunity to talk to BBC Radio
Cambridgeshire. The children are now 'experts' on some of the most famous classical pieces and will be using this music as a stimulus for writing, art and music composition.
