Year Four residential - ROCK U.K.

Last week, many children in Year Four experienced the fantastic ROCK U.K residential.

The children were all courageous, enthusiastic and supported each other throughout all the activities.

Here are some of the activities the children took part in...

Walk the Plank

The children certainly enjoyed guiding their blindfolded partner around the course (and watching them fall in too!)

Above and Beyond

Here, the children had to guide some of their blindfolded classmates around an obstacle course. To make it more difficult, they had to carry objects too!

High Ropes

It was fantastic watching lots of children conquer their fear of heights on the high ropes. Very brave!

 Open Canoeing

The children all enjoyed working together in teams in a canoe on the lakes. Games played included jumping from one canoe to the other, turning the canoe to face north, east, south or west and chase the ball. Lots of fun! Especially seeing Mr Righetta's canoe capsize and his team fall into the water!

 Rock Climbing

Again, lots of children got to show off their bravery when climbing up this tall climbing wall. Max, in 4MR, also got to show off his expert climbing skills! Very impressive!

A truly wonderful trip and so many memories, which will last a lifetime.

Chloe's Game - 'Meet the Blobby Crew'

This week, many Year Four pupils attended the residential visit. Those who stayed in school designed and made their own board games. Take a look below at Chloe's effort...

Chloe used the below sheets to research and plan her game before she made it.

Well done Chloe! Great effort.

The Life Cycle of the Painted Lady Butterfly

This half term, Year Four have been inspired by the life cycle of the Painted Lady butterfly. The children researched scientific facts about each stage of the life cycle and wrote explanation texts to share their findings. Below are the first drafts of work from children in 4MR. Fantastic knowledge!

Songs from the musicals

On Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd Year Four performed their "Songs From The Musicals" to two huge audiences of parents, grandparents and friends. We were so proud of their energy, commitment and enthusiasm and are sure that we have stars of the future in our midst.
