4KW's May Learning

Computing

During our computing lessons, the children have been learning how to code. The children have experienced using Turtle academy where they have learned about to code numbers, letters and even shapes!

Maths

For part of this term, the children have been learning about time. To practise their skills, the children had the opportunity to make their own clock! Children were then given times to show on their clock.

Science

This term, children have been learning about living things and their habitats. Their work has included learning about vertebrates, invertebrates and endangered animals.  Excitingly, children were able to create a habitat for some invertebrates which have been placed in the Crosshall Farm!

English

Throughout the first half of the Summer term, children have been learning about non chronological reports. To showcase their knowledge and features of these, children have written some amazing non chronological reports about King Charles 111.

The children have worked extremely hard over the term and should be proud of their achievements!

4AA - April's learning

English

The children have been learning all about non-chronological reports in their English since returning. They have looked at the features, learnt about fact and opinions, noun sentences and headings and sub-headings.

Maths

In maths, the children have been learning about money. We created a shop in the Year Four unit last week and the children could buy items and work out their change. They had to decide what they could afford and why knowing how much things cost is important.

Times tables

The children have their official Multiplication check in June so we have been practising a lot on TTRS and other online platforms.

PSHCE

In PSHCE, the children are learning about relationships. We started with responsibilities and the children had lots of discussion about how responsibilities change from a child to becoming an adult.

Art

In art, the children are learning about seascapes. They have identified the artist and created some research before they start planning their own seascape.

What a fantastic start to the term, we look forward to May's learning.
