Welcome to the Year Four website. On this website, we will be sharing examples of our children's work. This page is a workshop containing examples of learning in action. The work will not be the children's 'final draft’.

Ice Hands!
Year Four finished the week off with a science investigation. The children were observing, over time, the changes states can go through when heat is added. There were predictions made on which part of the ice hand would melt the quickest and how long it would take for the whole hand to melt. Year Four thought of different ways they could measure to show how the hands were melting. Some children decided to use thermometers to measure the temperature of the water and others decided to use a ruler to measure the length. Lastly, conclusions were made on the effect the environment can have on states of matter.
